Low T at 23 – Making Sense of Youth Impotence

Low testosterone is affecting young men in record numbers. Learn why, and find out what you can do about it.

Case #: 1508

Concern:

First of all I would like to know if Tribulus can be taken to help restore testosterone levels. I recently found out that my testosterone levels are lower than usual. Also, when I get an erection it seems like the head of my penis doesn't get hard. I have never hurt my penis before or injured it but this soft erection has been going on for quite some time, about 3 years. Can you please help me?

Discussion:

I can certainly understand your concerns. Testosterone is what makes a man a man. Without it, we would be pretty terrible at sex, and explosive action movies would just look really stupid (they are pretty stupid, I suppose, but our testosterone allows us to believe otherwise). You have to be really careful with Tribulus, though. Depending on your age, a high dose may actually over-stimulate your hypothalamus/pituitary-testicular axis and cause you to experience menopause-like symptoms. And if you think your low testosterone is embarrassing now, try dealing with hot flashes. So without knowing your medical history, age or general health, I can only recommend Tribulus with a few caveats, because herbs alone probably aren't going to solve your problem.

Getting Your Testosterone Back on Track

Based on your symptoms (low testosterone, weak erection), I'm going to guess that you're no stranger to the one-handed mambo, i.e. masturbation. Since you seem like a pretty young guy, and you're struggling with symptoms that tend to plague much older guys, I'm going to assume that excess masturbation is at least in part responsible for your symptoms. Over-masturbation depletes your body of important hormones like testosterone and HGH, and raises your level of inflammatory hormones like DHT and Prostaglandin E-2. This imbalance can wreak havoc on your sexual function, and the symptoms you have described are the telltale outcomes of masturbation run amok.

So first and foremost, I'm going to encourage you to take a break. Let your body heal and recharge for a month or two, and then keep the activity in moderation. If you enjoy masturbating to images of pornography, I'm going to recommend that you kick the porn habit altogether, as that kind of stimuli can specifically overwork your neurotransmitters and leave you with symptoms of youth impotence. It's no coincidence that men are suddenly experiencing soft erections at record levels in this age of porn-on-demand. There are some things your sex ed teachers just don't warn you about.

Now, To Answer Your Question...

Tribulus contains a variety of important biochemicals that stimulate testosterone growth and treat weak erections. As long as you don't overdo it (try to stay below 500-600 mg. per day), and as long as your treatment is supplemented with healthy sexual habits, this age-old herb should absolutely help with your symptoms. Just remember, there are no magic pills that can circumvent your own bad habits, so if you keep masturbating like there's no tomorrow, you might not see much improvement. Try a Tribulus remedy combined with a reduction in masturbation, and you should start to feel like your old self again in no time. (TRY: Natural Formula for Soft Erection Restoration)

The penis just lies in wait. A few quick and gently tugs might awake it from its slumber.
